A thought did strike me about the extra 'T' although it is rather ridiculous, dark and influenced by current affairs - what about 'Terrorists' (But not like Al-Qaeda!)? Very controversial, I know. Perhaps the NTT is a subversive underground movement that wishes to take over NT and then control how it operates and how theatre is brought to the people - they want to start a cultural revolution within the theatre, so that it is not solely confined to upper-bourgeois toffs. Jenny is their first hostage (and as an usher she knows a fair deal about the theatre - its ins and outs, the shows etc. and also represents the 'real' people) and first means of drawing relevant attention to the movement. They have been clever in drawing people to explore and familiarise themselves with the theatre in wishing to solve the mystery of Jenny's disappearance - perhaps people that had never before even entered the theatre(like myself! London is wasted on Londoners, I know). I do not believe the NTT is dangerous, just shrouded in secrecy. I also do not know how they made Jenny disappear in to thin air but perhaps they managed to perform an optical illusion which made it seem so on the CCTV footage? They are masters of trickery and disguise, surely. In whispering 'Look to the shadows' they are calling for people to look for drama within the theatre but in less obvious places. They have may also consigned themselves to the shadows and perhaps have their HQ in some dark secret corner of the NT.
